Belgians get together in Friedrichshafen at HAM RADIO 2022

Du vendredi 24 juin au dimanche 26 juin, après une pause de deux ans, de nombreux radioamateurs se 
rendront à la 45e édition de Hamradio à Friedrichshafen, sur le magnifique lac de Constance, près du triangle Allemagne/Autriche/Suisse. Avec d'innombrables exposants de nombreux pays et des milliers d'exposants occasionnels au marché aux puces, Friedrichshafen est bien sûr la Mecque du radioamateurisme en Europe, qui a encore peu à perdre de son frère américain de Dayton.
Habituellement, quelque 6 000 visiteurs étrangers sont attendus, ce qui signifie qu'il est difficile de trouver un hébergement dans les environs immédiats. Cependant, il y a aussi de merveilleux campings juste à côté de la Messe elle-même. En plus de tous les stands d'équipements, de pièces détachées et autres "friandises radioamateurs", il y a, comme toujours, un hall entier réservé aux associations. Notre association sœur allemande est, comme chaque année, remplie d'un grand nombre de stands qui présentent les différentes activités de cette grande association. Mais au total, une quarantaine de pays sont représentés par un stand national, dont, traditionnellement, l'UBA. Au fil des ans, le stand de l'UBA est devenu le lieu où les nombreux visiteurs belges viennent faire une pause. N'oubliez pas d'apporter votre tirelire... À propos, saviez-vous que depuis l'édition de l'année dernière, nous avons formé une sorte de stand Benelux avec VERON et RL ?
Pour ceux qui ne savent toujours pas quoi faire après la foire et qui sont curieux de savoir ce que les autres Belges peuvent acheter, il y a la "Réunion des radioamateurs du Benelux" au stand UBA/VERON/RL le samedi 25 juin à 17h00. L'objectif est de prendre un verre ensemble et de discuter ensuite.

Nouvelles sessions d'examens en juillet et août 2022

Nous sommes heureux d'annoncer deux nouvelles sessions d'examen radioamateur organisées hors des murs de l'IBPT.
Le premier examen se tiendra le vendredi 22 juillet 2022 à 14h00 à l'Euro Space Center.
En cas de changement des règles sanitaires l'examen pourrait être reporté ou annulé. Dans ce cas l'IBPT vous proposera de nouvelles dates.
Vous pouvez aussi visiter le centre et / ou manger sur place aux conditions publiques.

Les examens pour l’obtention d’un certificat d’opérateur de classe C (ON3) sont constitués de 30 questions à choix multiple avec 4 réponses possibles.
Sont reçus, les candidats qui ont obtenu au moins 80 % des points. Une bonne réponse vaut 1 point ; chaque faute ou absence de réponse vaut 0 point.
Les examens pour l’obtention d’un certificat d’opérateur de classe B (ON2) sont constitués de 38 questions à choix multiple avec 4 réponses possibles et une seule réponse correcte.
L’examen comprend 20 questions sur le volet technique, 10 questions sur le volet législation et 8 questions sur le volet procédures. Les candidats ont une heure pour passer l’examen.
Sont reçus, les candidats qui ont obtenu au moins 50 % des points pour chaque volet spécifique de l’examen. Une bonne réponse vaut 1 point ; chaque faute ou absence de réponse vaut 0 point.
Les examens pour l’obtention d’un certificat d’opérateur de classe A (ON4) sont constitués de 48 questions à choix multiple avec 4 réponses possibles et une seule réponse correcte.
L’examen comprend 30 questions sur le volet technique, 10 questions sur le volet législation et 8 questions sur le volet procédures. Les candidats disposent d’une heure et demie pour passer l'examen.

petit rappel: le volet "règlementation" est devenu une partie importante de l'examen - quel que soit le certificat. Beaucoup de candidats ne réussissent malheureusement pas cette partie par manque de préparation ... un candidat averti en vaut deux !

Wij zijn verheugd u twee nieuwe sessies examens voor radioamateur aan te kondigen die buiten de muren van het BIPT wordt georganiseerd.
Inschrijvingen kunnen rechtstreeks via het BIPT worden gedaan.
Het examen wordt op dezelfde manier afgenomen als bij het BIPT:
Wat moet ik doen?
Het examen zal plaatsvinden in het Euro Space Center, rue devant les Hêtres 1, 6890 Transinne (afrit 24 van de E411). Er is ruime gratis parkeergelegenheid op het terrein.
Je moet er ten minste 30 minuten voor het examen zijn.
In geval van wijziging van de sanitaire voorschriften kan het examen worden uitgesteld of geannuleerd. In dat geval zal het BIPT nieuwe data voorstellen.
U kunt ook het centrum bezoeken en/of ter plaatse eten tegen publieke voorwaarden.
Voor vragen die specifiek zijn voor het examen blijf ik tot uw beschikking. Voor informatie over het Euro Space Center nodig ik u uit hun website te bezoeken.

Om u in te schrijven, heeft het BIPT uw identiteitskaart (voor- en achterkant) en al uw contactgegevens (adres, telefoon) nodig.
Voor het ON3-examen hebt u ook een kopie nodig van uw certificaat dat u geslaagd bent voor het praktijkexamen. (*)
Vergeet niet de klasse van het certificaat dat u wenst te behalen en de taal te vermelden.
U moet ook het bedrag van 53,38 € storten op de rekening van het BIPT: BE68 6791 7078 1634, onder vermelding van "NAAM-RAMA-22-07", "NAAM-RAMB-22-07", "NAAM-RAMC-22-07", "NAAM-RAMA-26-08", "NAAM-RAMB-26-08" ou "NAAM-RAMC-26-08" in de mededeling naargelang de klasse van het gewenste examen.

Enthousiasme voor technologie, knutselen en vakmanschap verenigt radioamateurs van over de hele wereld. Onder het motto "een weerzien met vrienden" kwamen ze van 24 tot 26 juni in Friedrichshafen bijeen om elkaar persoonlijk te ontmoeten, reünies te vieren, voordrachten bij te wonen en eventueel koopjes te doen. Gedurende de drie beursdagen trok HAM RADIO in totaal 10.200 radioamateurs uit 52 landen.
Zoals vanouds was ook de UBA present met een stand. Daar konden we heel wat Belgische en buitenlandse gasten begroeten. Op zaterdag organiseerden we samen met de VERON en RL een "Benelux Party" die bij heel wat bezoekers op grote bijval kon rekenen.
De editie 2023 zal volgend jaar plaatsvinden van 23 t.e.m. 25 juni.

Pendant les trois jours du salon, HAM RADIO a attiré un total de 10 200 radioamateurs de 52 pays.
Comme toujours, l'UBA était également présente avec un stand. Nous avons pu y saluer de nombreux invités belges et étrangers. Le samedi, en collaboration avec VERON et RL, nous avons organisé une "Benelux Party" qui a été très appréciée par de nombreux visiteurs.

HAM Radio and WRC 2023

WRC every four years... After the previous WRC2019 in Sharm El Sheikh, the next WRC or World Radiocommunication Conferences, will take place from 20 November to 15 December 2023 in the United Arab Emirates in Abu Dhabi or in Dubai.
Two years before the conference, the agenda has been finalised with the agreement of the majority of Member States. WRC2019 captured what needs to be discussed with WRC2027. WRC2023 next year is already covering part of that. Responsible for this event is ITU and director Mario Maniewicz (picture).

The problem arises for radio amateurs holding a Class A operating certificate, not only in Belgium but worldwide. According to the Decision of the BIPT Council of 20 March 2019, they are allowed to operate on a secondary basis from 1240 MHz to 1300 MHz, subdivided into 1240-1270 MHz and 1270-1300 MHz. This year, from 23 May to 3 June, a preliminary study on the problem of frequencies 1240-1300 MHz took place in Geneva.
The conclusion was that technical and operational measures are needed to protect the primary frequency band 1240-1300 MHz for the benefit of the radionavigation-satellite service (space-to-Earth). It is recognised that the 1240-1300 MHz frequency band, on a secondary basis, is important to the amateur radio community around the world. But on a primary basis, the frequency band 1240-1300 MHz is allocated to the Radionavigation Satellite Service (RNSS).
The ITU-RM1044 Recommendation is to be used as a guide in compatibility studies between the systems operating in the Amateur Radio and the Radio Navigation Satellite Service (RNSS). Harmful interference occurred during transmissions in the amateur service.
Following an investigation, the operator of a station causing interference was asked to cease transmissions. It should be noted that the number of RNSS receivers in the frequency band 1240-1300 MHz is currently limited. But the number of such receivers is expected to increase considerably through future generalised mass use.
Secondary service broadcasting installations must not cause harmful interference to primary services for which frequencies have already been assigned or may be assigned. Amateur and amateur satellite services should respect the protection of the RNSS or radio navigation satellite service in the 1240-1300 MHz frequency spectrum.
It should be noted that some RNSS receivers in the 1240-1300 MHz band may be equipped with Pulse Blanking (OFDM data transmission) which may facilitate sharing with certain applications of the amateur services. The amateur service in the frequency band 1240-1300 MHz is used for speech and exchange of data and images.
This service was requested to provide a detailed overview of the various systems used by radio amateurs in the frequency band 1240-1300 MHz. Various technical and operational means should make it possible to guarantee protection in the primary service of the RNSS receivers operating (space-earth), but without removing the allocations in the secondary service of the amateur and amateur satellite services. This is an important fact for radio amateurs. These studies will be included in the report for discussion in WRC-23 by the director of the radio communications agency, Mr. Mario Maniewicz. WRC-23 can then take appropriate action.
The radio amateurs are confident that the commercial sector and the worldwide radio amateur community can come to a mutually satisfactory solution. Since the inception of radio communications, radio amateurs have provided numerous developments and progressive ideas.
The radio amateurs strive to further develop their knowledge and experiments in the segment from the higher frequency ranges from UHF, up to SHF and EHF. Who knows what the future will bring within the higher THF?

The usefulness of WRC
Telecommunications is not a fixed and invariable given, but is subject to change and expansion. The evolution with regard to radio waves continues. Just think of satellites, drones, GPS, 5G with 6G by 2030, autonomously driving cars, Wi-Fi and many others that use the radio spectrum. World Radiocommunication Conferences regulates the global use of the radio frequency spectrum with possible adjustments or revisions for the geostationary satellites.Two years before the conference, the agenda has been finalised with the agreement of the majority of Member States. WRC2019 captured what needs to be discussed with WRC2027. WRC2023 next year is already covering part of that. Responsible for this event is ITU and director Mario Maniewicz (picture).

Discussion of resolution 774-WRC2019
The problem arises for radio amateurs holding a Class A operating certificate, not only in Belgium but worldwide. According to the Decision of the BIPT Council of 20 March 2019, they are allowed to operate on a secondary basis from 1240 MHz to 1300 MHz, subdivided into 1240-1270 MHz and 1270-1300 MHz. This year, from 23 May to 3 June, a preliminary study on the problem of frequencies 1240-1300 MHz took place in Geneva.
The conclusion was that technical and operational measures are needed to protect the primary frequency band 1240-1300 MHz for the benefit of the radionavigation-satellite service (space-to-Earth). 75 Years District Hamburg

Het DARC district Hamburg viert in 2022 haar 75ste verjaardag. Daar hoort natuurlijk een herinneringsdiploma en zelfs een trofee bij. Stations uit het district voeren een DOK (Distrikt Orts Kennziffer) die met de letter "E" aanvangt.
De stations DB01BMK, DG8HJ en DL2OBH hebben een Sonder-DOK "DVE" en kunnen als joker voor een missende DOK worden ingezet.
Het DARC district Hamburg viert in 2022 haar 75ste verjaardag. Daar hoort natuurlijk een herinneringsdiploma en zelfs een trofee bij. Stations uit het district voeren een DOK (Distrikt Orts Kennziffer) die met de letter "E" aanvangt.Award
Het certificaat wordt in drie klassen uitgegeven:
- Brons: verbindingen met 25 verschillende stations uit ten minste 5 verscheidene E-DOKs;
- Zilver: verbindingen met 50 verschillende stations uit ten minste 10 verschillende E-DOKs;
- Goud: verbindingen met 75 verschillende stations uit ten minste 15 verschillende E-DOKs.
De stations DB01BMK, DG8HJ en DL2OBH hebben een Sonder-DOK "DVE" en kunnen als joker voor een missende DOK worden ingezet.
Trofee
De trofee is beschikbaar voor verbindingen met minstens 150 verschillende stations uit ten minste 15 verscheidene E-DOKs aangevuld door 75 behaalde DOK punten. Hierbij telt elke E-DOK en Sonder DOK uit het districht 1 punt per band. Elke DOK mag op 3 verschillende banden worden geteld. Een verbinding met de Sonder-DOK DVE is bovendien verplicht.
Het diploma is kosteloos beschikbaar in PDF formaat. De trofee zal persoonlijk worden overhandigd tijdens een districtsvergadering te Hamburg.
