Bill Livingston a extrapolé dans le futur la diminution du champ magnétique des taches solaires et sur cette tendance, en conclut qu'en 2015, il ne devrait plus avoir de taches solaires. The UBA-LGE section will be active as ON5VL/p from the castle of Aigremont on September 20th 2009 from 06.00 to 10.00 UTC under new reference LG-084 for the Belgian Castles Award (BCA) and World Castles Award (WCA). They will work on 80 and on 40m in SSB as well on the 2m band (+/- 145.350 MHz).QSL will be sent automatically via Bureau and E-QSL.cc. All QSL for their previous castles activities have already been sent via the bureau.

FT5GA - Glorioso Island

A team of French military operators are going to activate Glorioso island in the Indian ocean between August 31st and September 21st. They will be QRV from 160 to 6 meters, in as many modes as possible. The callsign will be FT5GA. The team will use four stations active 24/7 (three on the HF bands and one on 6m). Leader and QSL manager will be Didier, F5OGL. QSL direct or via bureau.
