ON7JA sera actif lors du prochain contest IOTA, les 26/27 juillet, depuis l'île de Noirmoutier (EU-O64) en France, région Pays de la Loire. Il écoutera spécialement les stations en SSB le samedi à 15h00' - 16h00' – 17h00' – 18h00' et le dimanche à 11h00' – 12h00' et 13h00' ce, spécialement pour les stations ON désirant avoir la confirmation de la référence EU-O64. Fréquence 7,056 MHz.

New Solar Cycle Prediction

An international panel of experts led by NOAA and sponsored by NASA has released a new prediction for the next solar cycle. Solar Cycle 24 will peak, they say, in May 2013 with a below-average number of sunspots.

EIØ9VOR - Volvo Ocean Yacht Race Special Event

Galway Radio Experimenters Club will be heard as EIØ9VOR for the Volvo Ocean Yacht Race, which visits Galway, Ireland from May 23rd 2009 to June 6th 2009. They will be on both SSB and CW and operating from Mutton Island Lighthouse.
