OT7G/P - Castle De Ghellinck activation by ODE

A non-stop castle activity for the Belgium Castle Award is planned on Saturday 18 May 12:00 UTC till Monday 20 May 14:00 UTC. Members of UBA section ODE will activate Castle De Ghellinck (BCA ref. OV-032) on all HF bands SSB & CW and on 2m FM, using the call OT7G/P.
The castle in Elsegem (JO10ST) goes back to the 16th century and became the property of the family De Ghellinck around 1718. Although the castle was surrounded with water, it was not really fortified. As so many castles, it was pillaged during the French revolution. In the 19th century there have been many structural alterations. During both World Wars there was a lot of damage. After the Second World War the castle wasn’t used any more and in 1973 the whole building burned down. The community of Wortegem Petegem obtained the castle and the park. The remaining buildings are being restored, but financial problems slow down the project.

ON44BLH - Battle of Lanzerath Hill

Het ON-RAF-MOTA TEAM zal de call ON44BLH activeren ter herinnering aan "The Battle of Lanzerath Hill" waar een hevige strijd werd geleverd op 16 december 1944. Ons QTH is gevestigd bij het monument waar wij vanuit een legertent QRV zullen zijn op HF en 2m SSB/FM.Operatoren zijn ON3EA, ON7KEI, ON5SWA en ON3FMB. Aanvang zaterdag 18 mei omstreeks 12u00 en doorlopend tot maandag 20 mei 2013. Alle QSO´s mogen een mooie QSL card verwachten. Raadpleeg de DX-clusters voor de banden waar we actief zullen zijn.
PI4ETL/P - Molen- en gemalenweekend

Tijdens het Nederlandse nationale molen- en gemalenweekend op 11 en 12 mei 2013 nemen enkele zendamateurs van de afdeling A54 ETTEN-LEUR weer deel vanaf de molen de Oude Molen, gelegen aan de Oude Molensedijk 16A, Oudemolen onder de call PI4ETL/P op alle HF-banden en 2m.
Op beide dagen is ook de molen open voor publiek.
ON4CRD/P - Kasteelhoeve van La Chevalerie de Rosée

PI90PCG - Radio Kootwijk

Op zondag 5 mei 2013 is het precies 90 jaar geleden dat de radiotelegrafieverbinding tussen Nederland en voormalig Nederlands Oost-Indië, werd gelegd. Het voormalige zendstation Radio Kootwijk herdenkt deze historische dag door opnieuw radioverbinding te leggen met Indonesië.
PI90PCG zal actief zijn van 4 tot en met 28 mei 2013.
SF3HF - Hemsö Island

Van 3 tot met 5 mei 2013 zal Fons ON4AWT de callsign SF3HF activeren samen met meer dan 20 leden van de hamradioclub SK3BG van de stad Sundsvall.
SF3HF bestaat uit een nucleair-beschermde pantserbunker en is gelegen op Hemsö Island. De bunker bevindt zich zo'n 40 meter diep in de rotsbodem van de Storråberget berg. Het eiland is onderdeel van de IOTA EU-087-groep en ligt ongeveer 380 km ten noorden van Stockholm. De vesting werd ooit bemand door 320 mensen, is intact en geeft een uniek inzicht in een van Zwedens meest belangrijke kustverdedigings-installaties tijdens de koude oorlog. In commemorating of 90 years of Radio Malabar, ORARI Jawa Barat along with the Bandung Heritage Community, will hold a Special Event Station using Callsign YE90PK from May 3-5, 2013.

An international group is planning a second IOTA DXpedition to Djerba Island between April 29th and May 6th, 2013. The Association des Radio Amateurs Tunisiens (ARAT) is expected to receive the callsign TS8TI.
Activity will be on all HF bands, including 30/17/12/6m, in CW, SSB, RTTY, PSK31/63/125. The log will be on LOTW and http://www.i8lwl.it/. The team need sponsors and individual contributions: ik7jwx2003 [at] yahoo [dot] it.
