500 years ago, the English philosopher Thomas More wrote his novel "Utopia", published in 1516 by Erasmus and printed in the Belgian city of Leuven/Louvain.

At this occasion, Radio Club Leuven will activate the special event call ON500UTOPIA between Monday 29 September 2016 and Monday 24 October 2016.

Enigma Reloaded 2016

The main goal of the Enigma Event is to promote as much radioamateur’s activity as possible all over the world, celebrating the history of the Enigma cipher machine and its crucial role in the outcome of World War II, and spreading the knowledge of those key people who contributed to its decryption.

The Enigma Event 2016 will take place in two steps:

  • From 17 th to 30 th September 2016, Italian and foreign Amateur radio stations registered as "Activator stations” will ensure the activation of their radio stations in order to allow to the participants getting their scores for the "Enigma Award".
  • On October 1 st, the final event’s day, the Activator Stations will exchange predefined CW messages previously encyphred by a real or emulated Enigma machine.

  • 20/09/2016, evening. Start time when set-up is finished (around 17:00 UTC), end time around 20:00 UTC. QRV on 40 and 20 meters or other if bands are closed.

Les membres de la section CRD (Club Radio Durnal) seront actifs ce dimanche 28/08 depuis le château ferme Visart de Bocarmé sur la commune de Temploux (Namur).

Les références sont BCA NM-Ø73, WCA ON-ØØ839. Cette activé se fera avec l’indicatif ON25CRD/p en SSB et en CW sur les bandes des 40m et 20m. QSL spéciale via bureau.

OR70AF sera activé le vendredi 26 Août 2016 entre 07:00 et 15:00 heures UTC par le team BAFARA de la Base Militaire de Florennes.

Cet indicatif spécial attribué à l’occasion des 70 années d’existence de la Force Aérienne Belge sera utilisé jusqu’a la fin de l’année en cours. Les émissions HF se feront toutes bandes, tous modes. Une station VHF/UHF sera activée en phonie. Une QSL spéciale relative à cet évènement sera éditée fin de cette année et attribuée à chaque QSO.

Après le succès de LX9YL, Dora HB9EPE a proposé d'organiser cette année HB88YL du 19 au 21 Août 2016 à Hedingen.
