OP70BFS sera activé le samedi 25 mars entre 07:00 et 15:00 heures UTC par le team BAFARA de la Base Militaire de Florennes.Cet indicatif spécial attribué à l’occasion des 70 années d’existence de la Base Aérienne de Florennes sera utilisé jusques la fin de l’année en cours. Les émissions HF se feront toutes bandes, tous modes. Une station VHF/UHF sera activée en phonie.
Une QSL spéciale relative à cet évènement sera éditée fin de cette année et attribuée à chaque QSO. QSL via bureau ou QSL Manager ON2KFJ.

Les 25 et 26 mars prochains, les membres du CRD (Club Radio Durnal) prendront part comme chaque année au CQ WPX contest SSB avec l'indicatif OT5X.
Bien que très long, ce concours de renommée mondiale est une formidable opportunité pour encore développer les aptitudes des opérateurs et bénéficier des conseils de ceux les plus aguerris dans une ambiance chaleureuse.
48 heures ce n’est pas rien mais cette année, nous sommes en sous-effectif, raison pour laquelle, nous vous lançons un appel pour que vous aussi, vous puissiez tout aussi participer à cet évènement, nous vous donnons l’occasion de prendre le contrôle d’une véritable station de contest dans un environnement tout à fait convivial.
Ce concours débutera la nuit de vendredi à samedi à 01h00 (heure locale), nous serons déjà à pied d’œuvre le vendredi à 13h00 pour le montage de la station. Rendez-vous au terrain de football de Purnode, rue des Ecoles (même localité), le couvert sera assuré contre une légère participation. Nul n'est besoin d'être un opérateur chevronné bien évidemment, les opérateurs habituels se feront un plaisir de vous assister afin de vous épauler dans ce contexte particulier !
En 2016, le CRD a terminé ce contest à la 1ère place de sa catégorie en Belgique, 4ième au niveau européen et 12ième au niveau mondial … Intéressé(e) ? Dear IOTA chasers,
When I close my eyes at night I hear music, it’s the Sirens song calling for me to visit a remote Australian island. This Sirens song is a choir of thousands of IOTA chasers all singing the same tune, it’s a serenade seducing me to throw off the bow lines and set sail into the raging seas. Life should be an adventure, but it won’t be an adventure worth telling if there are no islands being activated. 2017 will be an exciting year and I’m pleased to present this menu to satisfy your insatiable hunger for IOTA:
Logic and common sense tells me that the cost of time and money is too high a price for me to pay. But the joy I get from bringing you that “new rare one” is overwhelming and so the island must be conquered. But the fight can be tough. There are strong winds, searing heat and stifling humidity when trying to put up antennas and build a station, I’m responsible for life support in a remote environment with dangerous wildlife, and I’m trying to fight fatigue and sleep deprivation to be on the air all hours of the day and night. It can be overwhelming trying to conquer the island by myself. In moments of fear, hopelessness, exhaustion or doubt I close my eyes, they sting with sweat and sand. But then a smile washes over my face as I realise that I’m not alone on the island. You’re here with me. I have a passionate and loyal army of IOTA chasers by my side. Your support either on the air, with positive DX cluster comments, supportive emails or financial sponsorship makes me fight harder and harder to get you in the log.
It is an absolute honour and privilege to activate these IOTA’s for you in this adventurous year of a lifetime. But I do need your help. The cost of Ashmore Reef is very high, over $10,000. Thank you so much to the clubs, organisations and generous individuals who have already sent in sponsorship. I know November is a long time away but early sponsorship is so important. OR100CLI - Lions Club International Centennial Celebration

(à traduire svp) Lions Clubs International is een wereldwijde serviceorganisatie met meer dan 1,4 miljoen leden. Hun doel is ‘WE SERVE’. Hun doel is om levens te verbeteren én problemen te verkleinen of zelfs volledig weg te werken. Vaak wordt dan ook het volgende gezegd: “Where There’s a NEED, There’s a LION”. LCI doet dit via verschillende programma’s waaronder hun Sight Programs, Health Programs, Youth Volunteer Opportunities, Community and Environment Programs and Disaster Relief.Deze Centennial Celebration geeft de Lions leden de kans om hun verwezenlijkingen te vieren en vooruit te blikken op nog een eeuw gevuld met humanitaire hulp. De viering vindt plaats tot de het begin van de Internationale Conventie in juni 2018, Chicago. Het vooropgestelde doel is om in de tussentijd 1 miljoen mensen te hebben geholpen.
UBA Sectie OSB zal voor deze gelegenheid uitzenden met de speciale roepnaam OR100LCI gedurende maart 2017. De modes zullen SSB, CW en RTTY zijn. De te activeren banden zullen afhankelijk zijn van de propagatie op dat moment.
QSL-kaarten kunnen worden aangevraagd via het OQRS-systeem van Clublog of verstuurd via Frederik ON8ZL.
