Dit weekend zal het speciale WOI station "ON100RGA" in de lucht zijn. Dit ter herinnering aan de aftocht van het duitse leger in Maaseik (Limburg) via de Pater Sangers brug over de Maas. Het is dan precies 100 jaar geleden dat dit gebeurde.RGA in het roepteken staat voor Retreat of the German Army. Zaterdagavond 17 november zal het station vanaf 18u in de lucht komen en op zondag 18 november vanaf 7 uur in de ochtend tot in de late uurtjes.

Pour leur 50ième et dernière activité dans le cadre des commémorations de la grande guerre, les membres de la section CRD de l’UBA seront encore actifs ce dimanche 11 novembre avec l’indicatif spécial OP18N. Ils seront actifs depuis la nécropole de Belle-Motte situé sur la commune d’Aiseau-Presles. Par son importance, ce lieu qui compte les tombes de 4.057 soldats français constitue un des plus grands cimetières français de la Première Guerre mondiale sur le sol belge. Activités en SSB & en CW, sur les bandes des 80, 40 et 20m. Carte QSL spéciale via bureau.

The Amateur radio club GDV will be on the air from 1st to 30th November 2018 with the special call OP18V to commemorate the end of First World War 1914-1918. We will operate since various locations in Verviers city and from Spa city inside the exhibition "War and Peace - Spa from 1914 till 1920" in Pouhon Pierre le Grand the Sunday November 11th.

Onze UBA sectie HRT (ON4HRT) zal een Special Event Station activeren tijdens de maand november 2018. Gedurende de hele maand zullen we uitkomen met de special callsign ON1418END op onze clublocatie in Olen en tevens een oud militair kamp (Teunenberg) en dit om het einde van de eerste wereldoorlog te herdenken. De BIPT vergunning is reeds binnen. We gaan wisselend actief zijn op 160, 80, 60, 40, 30, 20, 17, 15, 12 en 10m in zowel SSB, CW als digitaal.QSL informatie kan men vinden op QRZ of onze club website. De uiteindelijke log zal tevens te vinden zijn op eQSL, LoTW en Club Log. Ook zal er een Real-Time QSO Lookup mogelijkheid zijn die men kan gebruiken via onze club website.
ON4EI (EI8GQB/EI7T) CQ WW DX SSB Contest - October 2018

Olivier, ON4EI, est de retour en Irelande du 21 au 31 octobre 2018 pour activer EI8GQB et EI7T durant le CQ WW DX SSB contest (27-28 octobre).
Déjà plusieurs fois premier européen dans les contests CQ WW WPX et CQ WW DX, Olivier a récemment obtenu le titre de world champion of the IARU World Championship contest 2018 (preliminary results) dans la catégorie single operator, low power, all band, phone only.
Un point à noté est qu'Olivier participe à ces contests avec de l'énergie verte (panneaux solaires et éolienne). Sa station et son parc d'antennes temporaires 'Field-Day-like' sont composés de:
- Inverted L antenna 16mV / 24mH for 160-80m + 32 radials (20m).
- Inverted V dipole antenna for 160-80m-40m bands.
- ¼ wave vertical monopole for 40m + 16 radials (10m).
- 80m long beverage RX antenna East-West directional.
- Spiderbeam & Mosley TA33Jr antennas for 20/15/10m bands.
- 2 transceivers Elecraft K3 + P3 for SO2R 100W activation.
- 2*220Ah battery bank + 180W solar panel and 400W wind generator.

A l’occasion de la course à la voile en solitaire ‘’Route du Rhum’’ reliant Saint Malo (France) à Pointe-à- Pitre (Guadeloupe) une équipe multinationale, parmi lesquels Léon ON4ZD-OS0S, activera depuis le site du Radio club de Saint Malo l’indicatif TM4RUM du 25 octobre au 05 novembre 2018 ainsi que les 10 et 11 novembre.
Les émissions seront toutes bandes tous modes et commémoreront simultanément La 11ème édition de la ‘’Route du Rhum’’ et ses 40 ans d’existence.

“ENIGMA RELOADED 2018"Fifth Edition
from September, 28th to October, 6th
The main goal of the Enigma Event is to promote as much radioamateur’s activity as possible all over the world, celebrating the history of the Enigma cipher machine and its crucial role in the outcome of World War II, and spreading the knowledge of those key people who contributed to its decryption.
The fifth edition of "Enigma Reloaded" event will take place in two steps :
- From 28 th September to 05 th October, Italian and foreign Amateur radio stations registered as "Activator stations” will ensure the activation of their radio stations in order to allow to the participants getting their scores for the "Enigma Award" Contest.
- On October, 6th, the final event’s day, the Activator Stations will exchange predefined CW messages previously encyphred by a real or emulated Enigma machine.

Er gaat dit jaar een iets kleinere groep dan andere jaren op dxpeditie door een beperkt aantal slaapplaatsen, maar er is een zeer mooie locatie ter beschikking. De locatie is gelegen op 1.400 meter hoogte met vrij zicht over de bergen. Indien de propagatie en het weer wat meewerken, kunnen er zeer leuke dingen gebeuren. HB0/ON4CCV en HB0/ON4CKM zullen eveneens in de lucht komen vanop verschillende WWFF locaties; één in de voormiddag en één in de namiddag.
Vanaf 23 tot 28 september zal het NB DXteam actief zijn vanuit HB0.
