Members of the 'Italian Dxpedition Team' will be active as TT8TT from N'Djamena, Chad, during October 2012 (specific dates to be announced).
Activity will be on 160-6 meters using CW, SSB and RTTY.

All 9 Azores Islands activated at once

September 29, 1200 UTC to September 30, 1200 UTC (24 hours), all nine Azores islands (CU1-CU9) will be activated at once.Those making a QSO with at least 5 different islands will have a corresponding number of tickets placed into a lottery for a free trip to the Azores (e.g. if you have QSOs with 7 islands, you will get 7 lottery tickets). Additionally, the first 25 operators making QSOs with all 9 islands will be eligible for a second lottery. The free trips are from the closest airport served by SATA, including flight, accommodation and transfers. During or immediately after the weekend, the logs will be posted on Club Log to display your band/mode slots. The lottery will be drawn on October 15, 2012.
All QSOs will be confirmed through the bureau network with special full-colour cards. Direct QSL requests via Jose Melo, CU2CE.

3D2C - Conway Reef

The WW DX Team have planned their next DXpedition to be active from Conway Reef (OC-112) between 24 September and 5 October, 2012. The team already has received the callsign 3D2C. They will be QRV on all HF bands 160-10m, all modes. They will also be active on 6 and 2 metre 6 EME with WSJT65 A,B,C on 50.375 MHz and 144.375 MHz. A 6 metre beacon will be setup on 50.095 MHz.

ON4USA - Verviers Liberation Anniversary

GDV section will be QRV with ON4USA callsign for the 68th anniversary of Verviers Liberation by US GI’s on September 8, 1944. In memoriam of these heroes, ON4USA station activation is planned in SSB and PSK modes on 40-20-10-15 and 6m bands. 2012 operation is from Sept. 08:03h UTC to Sept 09:15h UTC.
La section GDV sera sur l’air avec l’indicatif ON4USA pour le 68ème anniversaire de la libération de la ville de Verviers par les troupes américaines le 8 septembre 1944. En hommage à ces héros, l’indicatif ON4USA sera présent en SSB et PSK sur les bandes de 40 20 10 15 et 6m durant le 2e week-end de septembre 2012. Les émissions débuteront le samedi 08/09 à 03h00 UTC (05h00 local) jusqu’au dimanche 09/09 à 15h00 UTC (17h local).

PA6ISS celebrates PI9ISS return from ISS

On August 30th the Netherlands will celebrate the official return of the Dutch astronaut André Kuipers PI9ISS. The station PA6ISS will be active from 28 August until 2 September 2012 from the Noordwijk Lighthouse. QRV on all HF bands and modes, plus 6 and 2 metres.
