The UBA-LGE section will be active as ON5VL/p from the castle of Aigremont on September 20th 2009 from 06.00 to 10.00 UTC under new reference LG-084 for the Belgian Castles Award (BCA) and World Castles Award (WCA). They will work on 80 and on 40m in SSB as well on the 2m band (+/- 145.350 MHz).QSL will be sent automatically via Bureau and E-QSL.cc. All QSL for their previous castles activities have already been sent via the bureau.
ON4DAMIAN - Father Damian canonization

In honour of the canonization of the Belgian Father Damien, the clubstation ON7LR of the Belgian Amateur Radio Society UBA, will activate the Special Event Call ON4DAMIAN from his birthplace in Tremelo. Data will be 5-6/9/2009 and 3-4/10/2009, frequencies will be around 3665, 7065, 7150, 14120 and 21165 kHz in SSB.Special Event QSL card via the UBA buro or direct by Radioclub ON7LR, Fortweg 24, 2500 Lier, Belgium.
FT5GA - Glorioso Island

A team of French military operators are going to activate Glorioso island in the Indian ocean between August 31st and September 21st. They will be QRV from 160 to 6 meters, in as many modes as possible. The callsign will be FT5GA. The team will use four stations active 24/7 (three on the HF bands and one on 6m). Leader and QSL manager will be Didier, F5OGL. QSL direct or via bureau.

ON3WAB will be active from 10 till 15 August from the Lake District in northern England. He will activate different SOTA summits and WAB squares. Frequencies will be 7032, 10118 cw and 3666, 7118, 14265 ssb +/- QRM and condx. If weather allows he will try PSK31 as well. Equipment used: Icom 703 and Rybackov Vertical 10m long Callsign used will be: M6ONL/P. QSL is ok via bureau or direct to home call: ON3WAB.
ON65L - Liberation of Ronse

UBA section members RSX are QRV as ON65L till December 31st in order to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the liberation of the city of Ronse on September 3rd 1944 by the English regiment ‘Inns Court’. They will be active on all bands in SSB and CW.
