D-Day 65th Anniversary

Between June 5 and 8, the special event station F/PA65DDAY will be active from Juno Beach to commemorate the 65th anniversary of D-Day on 80, 40 and 20m SSB. QSL via PA0HFT, direct or via the Dutch VERON bureau only.

TM5BBC will be active on June 4 to 12 from the square tower of the Castle of Creully to commemorate the 65th anniversary of D-Day. After the landing, starting on June 7, 1944, the BBC services used this building and from it, covered and broadcasted the information about the Battle of Normandy. Broadcasting on the original frequency of 1602 kHz, in AM, using rebuilt original gear, will be heard on June 4 and 5 between 1000-1100 UTC and on June 6 and 7, between 1130-1230 UTC. QSL via F2UW to the bureau.

TM6SME will be aired from Edemonville, a close village to Sainte Mère l'Eglise. Most of the activity will happen from June 5-7 on HF, and maybe 2m, CW and SSB. Contacts with TM6SME on two bands or two modes is worth a special award to be claimed via Michel F6IPS, with a large SAE. The cost of the award is at your choice in IRC, but not less than 2. QSL via F6IPS to the bureau.

Members of the South Flanders DX Activity Group will be active as F/ON6JUN/P from 3 till 8 June nearby the Pegasus Bridge memorial museum, operating all HF (especially WARC) bands in CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK31/125.
