De beheerder van de website van een UBA-sectie, nam in de loop van dit jaar een tekst over van een televisieredactie en plaatste die op de website van zijn sectie. Bovenaan de tekst staat een foto zonder vermelding van bescherming of copyright.
Onlangs ontving de verantwoordelijke van die UBA-sectie een aanmaning van een advocatenbureau om enkele honderden euro’s aan schadevergoeding te betalen voor onterecht gebruik van die foto. De maker van die foto eist auteursrecht voor het gebruik van zijn foto.
De foto werd opgespoord door middel van een internetzoekmachine die systematisch het hele internet scant en nagaat of er foto’s op voorkomen vervaardigd door hun opdrachtgevers. Een advocatenbureau behartigt dergelijke zaken. Het heeft geen zin om discussies te voeren of zich tot een rechtbank te wenden, de wetgeving is duidelijk.
Het auteursrecht ontstaat zonder dat er een inschrijving of melding moet worden gedaan, zelfs zonder vermelding bij foto of werk. Teksten, gedichten, foto’s en nog andere zaken die voortkomen uit de creativiteit van de maker, zijn altijd beschermd. Er mag wel gekopieerd worden, maar de auteur of zijn werkgever, behoudt altijd het recht op een vergoeding.
Het auteursrecht blijft bestaan tot 70 jaar na de dood van de auteur. Neem nooit klakkeloos teksten of foto’s over. Herbewerk creatief interessante onderwerpen en neem zelf foto’s indien een illustratie nodig is.

Attention aux droits d’auteurs !

Le gestionnaire d’un site web d’une section locale UBA a publié un article. Avec cet article il a rajouté une photo sans avoir demandé au préalable une autorisation aux détenteurs des droits et sans mention du copyright.
Un jour le responsable de la section UBA reçoit un courrier d’un avocat lui réclament plusieurs centaines d’Euro à titre de dédommagement pour utilisation illégale de la photo, car le propriétaire de la photo insiste sur ses droits.
Il existe aujourd’hui des robots qui scrutent les sites web et qui détectent les images utilisées illicitement; cela fait évidemment aussi l’affaire des avocats, car tenter de contester cela devant un tribunal est souvent coûteux et sans espoir.
Les droits d’auteurs couvrent en effet toute œuvre originale: textes, photos, musique … même sans qu’il y ai un dépôt explicite. Ces droits continuent jusqu’à 70 ans après le décès de l’auteur.
Ne copiez donc pas simplement des textes ou photos. Faites vous-même le texte et prenez vous-même les photos si vous en avez besoins!

Opleidingen voor de HAREC- en basisvergunning

De zomervakantie is nog maar halfweg, maar heel wat secties bereiden reeds het volgende "schooljaar" voor.
Op dit ogenblik zijn er al 6 opleidingen voor de basisvergunning gepland (Sint-Niklaas, Leuven, Mechelen, Sint-Truiden, Oostduinkerke en Grimbergen) en 3 HAREC opleidingen (Sint-Truiden, Gent en Mechelen).
In de loop van de volgende weken en maanden zullen zeker nog meer opleidingen volgen.
Elders op onze website vind je een overzicht van de opleidingen voor de basisvergunning en de HAREC opleidingen.

C'est avec tristesse que son fils, Jean-Louis, et sa famille, vous annoncent le dernier voyage de Jean Lewuillon, né à Quievrain, Belgique, le 3 Octobre 1928, son tour du monde et des ondes s'est arrêté ce Mardi 08 Août 2017. En préférant la télégraphie, Jean ex ON8RA, était très connu par la communauté radio-amateur par ses activités en Maurétanie comme 5T0JL.
Notre cher Jean repose au Funérarium Mahy, rue Verwée, 19, à Schaerbeek. Pour ceux qui souhaitent lui rendre un dernier hommage, lui dire "au revoir", une cérémonie aura lieu ce Vendredi 11/08/2017 à 11h au funérarium.

Wie Jean een laatste groet wil brengen kan terecht in funerarium Mahy, Verwée straat 19 te Schaarbeek waar op 11 augustus om 11 uur een ceremonie zal worden gehouden.

Dès 9h il y aura une exposition "la radio pendant la guerre" au syndicat d'initiative de Villers-la-Ville - Rue de l'Abbaye 53, 1495 Villers-la-Ville
ON6GMT activera dès le matin la Borne de Ways.
À 16h il y aura la commemoration à la Borrne de Ways.

Remarquable expedition

Begin August some DL friends make a DX expedition on the millimeter bands. They activated, mainly in France, England and the Channel islands, but also touched Belgium. From De Panne they realized QSO's to Ramsgate/UK on 47 GHz and 76 GHz. This were first contacts between Belgium and England.

Le programme ARISS permet aux écoles de poser des questions à un astronaute/cosmonaute à bord de la station spaciale internationale (ISS). Les écoles candidates sont invitées à sousmettre une application entre le 1er septembre et le 31 octobre 2017 pour un contact durant la période juillet 2018 - décembre 2018. Les écoles seront informées en décembre 2017 si la candidature est retenue.
