How to create a newsletter?
Before you start, prepare your text. All communications to our members should be in Dutch+French or English. Please, don't forget it!
Look at the left menu bar, section "Administration".
Select "Create Content" > "Newletter issue".
Edit your text with pictures, titles, etc. Don't forget to add some Line Feeds (LF) before and after your text.
Set the "Input format" to "Rich text editing".
Add one or more file attachments if needed.
The other options are default and could stay as is…
Finish by saving (Save) your newsletter.
The "View" tab shows you how it looks like…
Click on the "Edit" tab to modify if needed.
The last step is to send your newsletter to your readers. To do so click on the "Newsletter" tab and click on "Submit".
All email options should be OK.
Every 15 minutes a bunch of 50 mails is launched. This should prevent that your newsletter is blocked by SPAM filters.
If you're registred to the newsletter you should receive the issue after a while.
In the menu "Recent Posts" (left menu bar) you will see that your newsletter was published.
Look at the left menu bar, section "Administration".
Select "Create Content" > "Newletter issue".
Choose a title. Try to have a similar title as the newsletter before so that the reader easely can recognise your newsletter, i.e. Weekly DX Bulletin #163 where #163 is incrementing when a new newsletter is published.
Choose the correct newsletter issue. At this moment, there are three kind of newsletters:
- UBA B-EARS Info: gives info about the UBA emergency network,
- UBA - DX News on HF: mainly used for the weekly bulletin of Bjorn ON9CFG,
- UBA News - (e)CQ-QSO: could be used to distribute eCQ-QSO, if there is one, or to send out fresh UBA News…
Edit your text with pictures, titles, etc. Don't forget to add some Line Feeds (LF) before and after your text.
Don't forget to copy your text from a simple text editor, i.e. Wordpad. Don't copy from Word, Outlook or any other rich text editor…
Finish by clicking on the "OK" button.Set the "Input format" to "Rich text editing".
