Van 20 tot 26 maart zijn Jef ON4ACA (aka DD2CW) en Dirk ON3UN weer actief vanuit Ragunda in het Memorial Amateur Radio Society Clubstation SI9AM. Ze zullen deelnemen aan de WPX contest in SSB. Ook buiten de contest zullen ze actief zijn op 160m-10m in zowel SSB als CW. Eveneens voorzien we enkele Fauna & Flora activiteiten als het weer dit toelaat.Activiteit is gepland op alle HF banden en modes.

To mark the end of the WW1, to end all wars and in remembrance of the 18 million who lost their lives and the 24 million injured on all sides, a total of 12 special call signs will be put on the air by members of the Welland Valley Amateur Radio Society during 2018:

These will also be available for SWL's who confirm receiving the required number of special call signs.

EI50AOM - 1968 Tuskar Rock Air Tragedy remembrance

Fifty years after the crash of an Aer Lingus Viscount airliner in the Irish Sea—still the largest single loss of life in Irish civil aviation history—special event station EI5ØAOM remembers this tragic event and honours the 61 lives lost.
Special event station EI5ØAOM - fifty years after the crash of EI‐AOM - has been licensed to operate January through March 2018 to remember this tragic event. The station will devote one day beginning 22 January to remember each of the four crew and 57 passengers who died, with operations culminating on the fiftieth anniversary of the crash, 24 March 2018.
QSL via EI2KA, direct with $2 and self‐addressed envelope or via bureau. Log will be uploaded periodically to LoTW for non‐paper confirmations.

(te vertalen) La section BXE a décidé d’être présente à Bastogne pour les commémorations du siège de Bastogne et la résistance des troupes alliées face aux armées allemandes de l’offensive von Rundstedt.Nous serons donc actifs les samedi 16 et dimanche 17 décembre depuis Bastogne Barracks, le quartier général du Brigadier Général McAuliffe célèbre pour son « NUTS ». Avec le call OR5B/P nous activerons une station composée de matériel d’époque et de matériel plus actuel. OR5B avec le B pour Bastogne et Battle of the Bulge.

Winter is coming to the northern hemisphere, summer is starting in the southern part. Which means it’s time again for December YOTA month!
We encourage you all to take part using a callsign with YOTA in suffix. The idea is to show the amateur radio hobby to youth and to encourage youngsters to be active on the ham radio waves. Do you want to participate? Apply before December starts.

Le samedi 25 le monument aux morts de Beuzet (Gembloux) Angle de la rue de la station et Avenue Hélène Solvay à 5030 Beuzet sera à l’honneur. Le dimanche 26 nous serons au cimetière de Dinant, ville martyrs, sise chemin de la citadelle 15 à 5500 Dinant.
